Food Quote – Julia Child

“The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking
you’ve got to have a what-the-hell attitude.”

When I am making/baking something for the first time I sometimes get all nervous I am going to mess it up. ย I guess I will have to listen to Julia Child!

  1. Excellent words to cook and bake by!

When I first moved to the south, I was in awe of all the beautiful flowering plants, trees and shrubs that seemed to thrive just about everywhere down here. One neighbor in particular (an older, born and bred “old south” lady) had the most exquisite yard, flower, vegetable and herb gardens I had ever seen. One day while we were chatting at the fence I asked her what the secret to her success was and this is what she told me: “I start with the purest of intensions, stick it in the ground and say “live or die”. Sometimes it grows and sometimes it doesn’t, but I never let the failures overshadow my intent.”

Same/Same, right? The intensions of your heart of heart’s will more often than not, prevail ๐Ÿ˜‰
