Pulled Pork Rub Recipe

This is so easy!

1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup paprika
3 Tablespoons salt (I use Kosher, you can use what you want)
2 Tablespoons black pepper
1 Tablespoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons dry mustard

Mix all ingredients together and rub all over your pork shoulder.  You can refrigerate overnight or let rest for 30 minutes then bake.  Kent bakes slow and low.  300 degrees for 6-8 hours depending on size of pork.  Enjoy!

    The ONLY tweak I’d make is to add garlic powder to the mix.

    Are you sure Kent isn’t secretly from the south?? 😀

    • I am sure he is not from the south. 😉 Garlic powder will be added next time that is for sure!! We will be making again very soon. Kent and Martin want another Purple Pig pizza.
