Russian Dressing

The Russian Tea Room is known for their homemade dressing. Now, if you aren’t in New York City you can enjoy this classic recipe.

Russian Dressing

3/4 cup Mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup chili sauce (this is a condiment typically sold near cocktail sauce)
1 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoons minced dill pickle
1 1/2 teaspoon minced green pepper
1 tablespoons minced green onion
2 teaspoons fine grated fresh horseradish or drained bottled horseradish
1 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon Tobasco
1 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
pinch freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoon minced parsley

Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend until thoroughly mixed, but do not over blend. Refrigerate in a covered jar until serving time. Stir before using.

  1. I am SO thankful you posted this. We LOVE the reuben pizza, but we haven’t made it in a long time….mostly because we couldn’t find the “right” dressing. So this is much appreciated, thank you!
