Simple Steak Seasoning – or for everything seasoning!

I used to use McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning.  I then decided I wanted to see if I could make my own.  Guess what, I could!  So can you.  I use this on steaks, burgers, chicken, salads, eggs and more.  Here is a simple and delicious seasoning.  Give it a try!!

Simple and Delicious Everything Seasoning

August 2014 053

2 Tablespoons ground pepper
1 Tablespoons kosher salt (you can add more salt, taste it!)
1 teaspoon dried minced onion (or you could use powder)
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic (or you could use powder)
**You can add basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary or any other spices to this mix.  I have one set aside with rosemary and thyme.**

I use minced onion and garlic. (I get this at Penzey’s Spices.)  I use my mortar and pestle to grind the minced onion and garlic.  I don’t grind to a powder.  I leave it a bit chunky.  Then add pepper and salt.  Mix together and voila – awesome seasoning!  Enjoy!!
